Ilminster Town Council has been very aware of the ongoing struggle faced by many families over the past year or so due to the cost of living crisis, high energy bills and rising inflation. The Town Council are not immune to these rising costs either, and have carefully considered the budget for 2023/24, to try to keep any rises in it’s element of the council tax to a minimum.
Having calculated the budget for 2023/2024, Ilminster Town Council requested a 2023/2024 precept of £379,231.00 which is split into the following categories and compared to 2022/23 precept:
