Ilminster Town Council is responsible for the provision and maintenance of a number of local sites and amenities including the Market House, Herne Hill Nature Reserve, Wharf Lane recreation ground, West Crescent recreation ground, Britten’s Field, Winterhay recreation ground, the Burma Star garden and the cemetery on New Road.
The town centre is mainly looked after by South Somerset District Council and Somerset County Council.
