We have 15 town councillors who represent the whole town and direct the work of the council. They are led by the Mayor, who is also the chairman of the council, and the Deputy Mayor, who is also the vice-chairman of the council.
Our councillors represent the views and concerns of the community to the council and report the activities of the council back to the public. They make themselves available to their constituents and their contact details can be found under each councillor’s profile.
Councillors must agree to observe the council’s Code of Conduct. By signing up to the code, councillors agree to act openly and honestly in the public interest.
The members are also required to register their interests. A copy of this register is held in the town council office or you can view the forms under each councillor’s profile.
