Election of a Councillor to Ilminster Town Council
On December 17, 2025, the Somerset Council was informed of the resignation of Councillor Daz Paul from Ilminster Town Council.
Notices of the vacancy were published, and 10 requests for an election were received by the returning officer, in accordance with the legislation. As a result, a period of candidate nominations will be held between 23 January 23 and 30 January 2026. If the requisite number of valid nominations for candidates is received, the election is due to be held on Thursday, February 26 2026.
