A meeting of the OPEN SPACES COMMITTEE will take place on Tuesday 10 September 2019 in the Council Chamber, Council Offices, North Street, Ilminster at 19:30hrs
The public are welcome to attend this meeting. Members of the public are invited to ask questions or raise issues relevant to the work of the Council. The overall time available for this session is restricted to 15 minutes unless the Chair decides otherwise. Individual speakers are restricted to 3 minutes and are asked not to repeat points that have been made previously. It is helpful if potential contributors can make themselves known to the Town Clerk before the meeting so that the session can be programmed effectively.
Public participation is not part of the formal meeting of the Council however a note will be made of matters raised and recorded at the start of the minutes of the meeting.

- Police Report
This agenda item provides an opportunity for the Police to report on any matters relevant to policing in Ilminster.
- Financial Monitoring
To receive information about the Open Spaces Committee income, expenditure and commitments, compared to the 2019/20 budget (To follow)
- Grounds Team Report
To receive a report on recent Grounds Team work and work planned for the autumn. (To follow)
- Greening of Ilminster
To consider a suggestion from the Greener Ilminster Group regarding wild flower planting on the periphery of Britten’s Field
- Dug outs
To consider information from Ilminster Sports Club Ltd regarding permanent dug-outs.(To follow)
- Wharf Lane Recreation Ground Play Area Refurbishment
- To agree the recommendation to Council for the amount of overall budget for the Wharf Lane Recreation Ground Play Area Refurbishment based on the existing sketch design
- To approve the design of the barge which will form the focal point of the revamped play area
- Grounds Maintenance Equipment – Ride-On Mower
The decision on a recommendation to Council regrading whether or not a replacement ride-on mower is purchased was deferred from the Committee meeting on 9 July to enable further information to be sought. The information n has now been collected and the report revised accordingly. (To Follow)
- Budget 2019/20
To consider any income and expenditure ideas in preparation for the budget workshop.
