A meeting of the OPEN SPACES COMMITTEE will take place on Tuesday, 23 August 2016 in the Council Chamber, Council Offices, North Street, Ilminster at 19:30hrs
The public are welcome to attend this meeting. Members of the public are invited to ask questions or raise issues relevant to the work of the Council. The overall time available for this session is restricted to 15 minutes unless the Chair decides otherwise. Individual speakers are restricted to 3 minutes and are asked not to repeat points that have been made previously. It is helpful if potential contributors can make themselves known to the Town Clerk before the meeting so that the session can be programmed effectively.
Public participation is not part of the formal meeting of the Council however a note will be made of matters raised and recorded at the start of the minutes of the meeting.

- Police Report
This agenda item provided an opportunity for the Police to report on any matters relevant to
policing in Ilminster.
- Fair Trade Signage
To consider the request from the Ilminster Fair Trade Committee to use the Town Council’s existing post supports on the signs at the entrances to the town, as the structural support for the Fair Trade signs. (To follow)

To receive the report from the Senior Open Spaces Warden about recent open spaces activities in Ilminster. (To follow)
- Financial Comparison
To receive information about the Open Spaces Committee, income, expenditure and commitments compared with the 2016/17 budget.
- Annual Playground Inspection – Appointment of Contractor
To consider the appointment of a Contractor to undertake the annual playground inspection. (To follow)
- Recreation Ground Grandstand – Demolition : Asbestos Survey
To consider setting an expenditure limit for the asbestos survey which is required as part of plans to demolish the grandstand. (To follow)
- Feedback from Councillors Open Spaces Walkabout
An opportunity for Councillors to give feedback arising from their recent walkabout and identify related issues to be discussed at future meetings.
