Ilminster Town Councillors’ Surgery Sessions

Ilminster Town Councillors have agreed to host surgery sessions so that members of the public can discuss issues on a one-to-one basis. The sessions will usually be on the last Saturday of the month at the Annex to Greenfylde School, Wharf Lane, Ilminster from 9.30am until 10.30am.
There will be two Town Councillors at each surgery session and the rota will be put on the noticeboard in Ilminster’s Market Square and on the Town Council website.
Surgery sessions are a chance for individuals to raise issues personally with a Town Councillor – if the matter raised is not a Town Council responsibility wherever possible suggestions will be given as to how it may be possible to take the matter forward. The surgery venue does have layout that means members of the public can talk to a Councillor about confidential matters if they wish.
The surgery sessions will take place for a trial period of 6 months and will be reviewed at the April 2016 Town Council meeting.
